We were comissioned by the IBT festival to create a Storm in a Night Club, for the official festival party. The club was located inside an old firestation in Bristol, and we could hire some lighting fixtures, including moving beam heads and ILDA laser scanners.
We borrowed some code from Thomas Pachoud’s Live Laser Tool to make a software for ILDA control, based on ofxILDA by Memo Akten and ofxTimeline by James George.
We used PlayMID’s DMX control software for controlling rgb PARLeds and moving beams.
We created a soundtrack for transporting the audience into a storm: from the rain to a hurricane or the lightning storm.
